Professional Information
As a reliable, proactive and passionate master graduate I put in as much effort as needed to complete my tasks in a timely manner and to my best ability while paying attention to details. I am a motivated individual who is loyal, creative and interested in what is going on around her.
In order to reach my goal I am constantly seeking new challenges to improve and to learn as much as possible about me and the world. Getting out of my comfort zone and remaining committed and dedicated to my decisions is something I do consistently. One example that expresses this most appropriately is that I have studied internationally, both in the United States and in Australia.
Last year a group of students and I visited two rural towns in Nicaragua to support the communities in various ways. I lived with local people in poor conditions and it was an extraordinary experience to make a difference in their lives. Throughout this time I enjoyed learning from another culture and interact with a wide range of people from different walks of life and I became more enthusiastic to work towards commencing a career that allows me to have a positive impact on others.
During my internship in the Public Relations and Marketing Department of Novant Health, a non-profit organization I was responsible for a project involving diverse groups of families who may have been underprivileged as well as disadvantaged through circumstances they had no control over. This project involved observation, getting to know each individual and listening to their experiences in order to create a collection of short stories and a video clip to share with the general public to promote the Community Care Cruiser and source donations to assist the families. This internship position enabled me to demonstrate my ability to multitask, manage time effectively and make decisions independently while working under pressure in a fast paced environment. After my internship was officially over, I decided to stay and help the department until the project was complete.
My wealth of experience academically, socially, and professionally has led me to where I am now but I know there is much more to see and to learn.
