During summer 2010, I interned in the Public Relations and Marketing Department of Novant Health, a non-profit organization. It was the first time Novant Health offered this kind of internship.

My project was to write a storybook and create a video file about the patients and staff members of the Community Care Cruiser of the Presbyterian Hospital. I assisted in budget development, interviewed patients and staff members of the cruiser team, wrote stories, selected pictures for the book, and decided which clips to include in the video part of the project.

A big challenge was to schedule and organize the video and picture days. We needed a translator, a photographer, two camera people, the patients, and the Cruiser team on site in order to get everything done on time and within the budget.
