Most of my life I spent in Vienna, Austria. I grew up on a farm at the outskirts of the city as the second born of three children. Although my family is the most important thing in my life, I decided I want to discover other places in the world and find out how life is different in other cultures.

In 2008, I decided to leave my hometown and came to the United States all by myself. After six months in New York City where I took some English classes, I decided to remain in the United States to study. I started my undergraduate degree at Winthrop University in South Carolina. Even though I did not know much about southern culture and where I would spend the next three years, I was certain that it would be a great experience no matter how hard it would be. I have met so many people from all over the world, have seen so many places during these couple of years, and have learned so much about other cultures and countries, but I knew there was much more to see and learn.

Therefore, I continued my growth in the field of communication at the Bond University which is located at the Gold Coast in Australia. I am a person who always has to challenge herself and improve and I especially enjoy it if I know I make a difference and can inspire or help other people by doing it.

Shortly after I finished my master’s degree, I traveled to Zimbabwe and worked together with SOS Children’s Villages Zimbabwe to improve aspects of the organization’s public relations and marketing strategies. Living in a third world country challenged me in new ways and taught me new lessons and that is why I am so passionate about experiencing new things in life.

 

Since October 2013 I am working at the PR agency Ketchum Publico in Vienna. What I love most about this job is the incredible development possibilites, the diversity of activities and the great team I am part of.
